Meeting Summary \u2013 ONECCA \u00d7 AICPA & CIMA Strategic Partnership<\/p>\n
A productive strategic working session was held with ONECCA Cameroon on 2 September 2026 to advance discussions toward the establishment of a formal partnership and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ONECCA and AICPA & CIMA. The discussions were led by Dr. Tita Sama Emmanuel, FCMA, CGMA, Country Director of CharterQuest Cameroon, on behalf of CIMA West Africa. The session presented the proposed partnership framework and explored the potential alignment between the ONECCA professional qualification pathway and the AICPA & CIMA\/CIMA qualification framework, with particular emphasis on management accounting, strategic finance, professional development, capacity building, and the creation of pathways that could enhance the competencies and international exposure of ONECCA members. The syllabus-mapping work provided an important technical foundation for these discussions and for identifying areas of potential academic and professional alignment.<\/p>\n
ONECCA received the presentation positively and confirmed its openness to pursuing the proposed partnership with AICPA & CIMA. The discussions demonstrated a shared interest in developing a structured and mutually beneficial collaboration that would strengthen professional accountancy and management accounting capabilities in Cameroon. As part of its internal assessment and the process toward formalizing the partnership, ONECCA requested additional information and clarification on specific aspects of the proposed collaboration. These elements will be consolidated and provided as a follow-up to the meeting, with the immediate objective of addressing the outstanding requirements, agreeing on the scope and implementation framework of the partnership, and progressing toward the finalization and signing of the MoU between ONECCA and AICPA & CIMA.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ONECCA et l\u2019AICPA & CIMA avancent vers un partenariat strat\u00e9gique pour renforcer la profession comptable au Cameroun<\/p>\n
Dans le cadre de sa dynamique d\u2019ouverture internationale et de renforcement continu des comp\u00e9tences de ses membres, l\u2019Ordre National des Experts-Comptables du Cameroun (ONECCA) a tenu, le 2 septembre 2026, une importante s\u00e9ance de travail consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019examen d\u2019un projet de partenariat strat\u00e9gique avec l\u2019AICPA & CIMA et \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration d\u2019un futur Protocole d\u2019Accord (MoU) entre les deux institutions.<\/p>\n
Les discussions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conduites par Dr Tita Sama Emmanuel, FCMA, CGMA, Country Director de CharterQuest Cameroun, au nom de CIMA West Africa. La rencontre a permis de pr\u00e9senter les principaux axes de collaboration envisag\u00e9s et d\u2019examiner les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019alignement entre le parcours de qualification professionnelle de l\u2019ONECCA et le r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel de qualification de l\u2019AICPA & CIMA\/CIMA. Les \u00e9changes ont notamment port\u00e9 sur la comptabilit\u00e9 de gestion, la finance strat\u00e9gique, le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel continu, le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s et la cr\u00e9ation de passerelles de qualification, susceptibles d\u2019offrir de nouvelles perspectives de d\u00e9veloppement et une plus grande ouverture internationale aux professionnels camerounais. Le travail de mapping des programmes de formation (syllabus mapping) constitue \u00e0 cet effet une base technique importante pour identifier les domaines de convergence et les possibilit\u00e9s de collaboration entre les deux parcours professionnels.<\/p>\n
L\u2019ONECCA a accueilli favorablement cette initiative et exprim\u00e9 son ouverture \u00e0 la poursuite des discussions en vue de la mise en place d\u2019un partenariat structur\u00e9, durable et mutuellement b\u00e9n\u00e9fique avec l\u2019AICPA & CIMA. L\u2019Ordre a \u00e9galement sollicit\u00e9 des informations et clarifications compl\u00e9mentaires sur certains aspects du dispositif propos\u00e9, lesquelles permettront d\u2019approfondir l\u2019\u00e9valuation du partenariat et de d\u00e9finir conjointement son p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre ainsi que ses modalit\u00e9s de mise en \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n
Cette d\u00e9marche marque une \u00e9tape importante vers la formalisation d\u2019une collaboration entre l\u2019ONECCA et l\u2019AICPA & CIMA, avec l\u2019ambition commune de contribuer au renforcement des comp\u00e9tences des professionnels de la comptabilit\u00e9 et de la finance au Cameroun, de promouvoir les meilleures pratiques internationales et de pr\u00e9parer davantage les professionnels camerounais aux nouveaux enjeux de la finance strat\u00e9gique, de la transformation des organisations et de la cr\u00e9ation de valeur.<\/p>\n
